Christmas Printables Bundle for Kids: Plan a Screen-Free December Week by Week

By Adil at TinyMapleCo · Updated October 31, 2026 · Jump to the free sample + printables

A Christmas printables bundle is most useful when you print in stages: advent and countdown pages before December 1, the Letter to Santa and activity pages in the first two weeks, games for parties and school breaks, and Christmas Eve printables for the last night. Print only what you need each week, use cardstock for cards and black and white for coloring, and keep a grown-up on scissors duty.

Before December 1: set up the countdown

  1. Print and prepare the advent activities. Cut the cards (a grown-up job), put them in numbered envelopes and choose where the countdown poster goes. See our advent calendar activity ideas.
  2. Make the countdown paper chain together on the last weekend of November. Our paper chain guide has the steps.
  3. If you have a visiting elf, print the arrival letter and the first week of notes. See elf arrival ideas.

Week 1 (Dec 1–7): settle into the season

  • Write the Letter to Santa early, while kids are excited and before the calendar fills up (age-by-age templates).
  • Print a few coloring pages and keep them in a folder for quiet moments.
  • For toddlers, prepare one busy book activity at a time (busy book ideas).

Week 2 (Dec 8–14): learning and quiet time

  • Mazes, dot-to-dots and I spy pages for after school.
  • For preschool and kindergarten, one or two Christmas worksheets a day (what to practice).
  • A kindness calendar on the fridge: one small kind act a day, no guilt for skipped days.

Week 3 (Dec 15–21): parties and school break

  • Print bingo boards and charades cards for classroom parties, cousins and sleepovers (Christmas games).
  • Pack a travel folder of coloring pages and word searches for car rides and flights.
  • Wrap presents together and make gift tags.

Week 4 (Dec 22–24): the big nights

  • Prepare the Christmas Eve box: labels, Santa’s magic key, reindeer food tags and the note for Santa (Christmas Eve box ideas).
  • Fill in the reply letter from Santa and the Nice List certificate.
  • Leave the elf’s goodbye letter on Christmas Eve.

Printing tips that save ink and time

  1. Print at “Actual size / 100%” so cards and cut lines line up.
  2. Choose your paper size once. Use the US Letter files in the US and Canada and A4 elsewhere.
  3. Cardstock for things that get handled: cards, bingo boards, the busy book, the magic key.
  4. Plain paper for coloring and worksheets. Use thicker paper (about 120 gsm or more) if your kids use markers, and print single-sided so markers do not bleed through.
  5. Black and white for coloring pages and practice sheets; color for posters and game boards.
  6. Print a week at a time, not 300 pages on December 1.
  7. Use sheet protectors and dry-erase markers for pages kids will repeat.
Safety note: grown-ups do all the cutting for young children, and small paper pieces are a choking hazard for children under 3.

Bundle or single sets?

If you only want one tradition, a single set is enough: for example, just the Letter to Santa Kit or just the advent cards. A bundle makes sense if you have kids of different ages, teach a class, or want everything for the whole month in one download. If you already own one of the sets, check what is included before buying a bundle so you do not pay twice for the same files.
